The Wild and Crazy life of Will

I haven't done an update on Will lately. He's a complete mess but the absolute LOVE and JOY in my life. He's literally into anything and everything.

He loves:
Trains "twains"
To mow mow with daddy
To go bye bye (if you even think about leaving him at home or behind you are in trouble)
Water "wah wah" (bath tub and swimming pool)
To ride in a car for hours and hours

He can say most anything and everything and is beginning to repeat what you say and mimic what you do as well.

Some of the funny things he says is:
- "Momma, rain, momma rain" and he goes crazy when it starts to rain or the clouds get dark and it looks like it is going to rain.
- "Dadda toot". Doug tooted the other day and Will said "Dadda toot" and began to smell between his legs. It was hilarious.
- "No, no, no" and he has definitely learned when we tell him NO because he points his finger at us and goes "no no no" in the most serious face ever.

He eats anything and everything and plays ninety to nothing and still doesn't gain much weight. This past week he had a Nicu follow up and he was in the 5th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. Again he's going to be tall and skinny.

He's obsessed with "twains" or trains and every night we have to read "The Little Engine That Could" and he won't pick any other book but that. He calls it the "twain" book and everytime an engine is mentioned in the book he goes "choo choo."

We just recently built a playpad place in our backyard to put Will's big swingset (which isn't bought yet) in. We filled it with pea gravel and his favorite thing to do is to put pea gravel in the watering bucket and dump it out and repeat. If I would have known this we wouldn't have built this huge playpad and just given him some rocks and a bucket. Oh well the things you do for your children. He loves to play outside on his small playground though.

He's been taking ISR swimming lessons in the evening and he is a complete water bug. He's learning the swim float swim technique. It's helpful so far because it was designed to teach children to swim float swim if they would ever fall into the water and they could make it to the side of the pool. We've been practicing our swimming on the weekends at my parents neighborhood pool and he's doing so good.

I don't think I could love someone more than this little guy right here and we are having the time of our lives with him.

4th of July Fun

We had a great 4th of July. My parents and older sister Alecia were out of town so Mary and Uncle Big John were the only ones left so we made plans to have a fun day. Doug did some work around the house and Will and I did some clean up inside the house.

Later that afternoon we headed to Mary and Johns to drop off the ribs and baked beans and then headed to the pool. Will has been taken swimming lessons for about 2 weeks now and so we thought we would see what he would do in the pool with us. We were told no more floaties or swim ring to help him and we followed just that. Will was a complete fish and daredevil in the pool. He wasn't scared to do anything. He jumped off the side of the pool and swam to us and then basically swam to all of us. He surprised all of us and we were so proud of his accomplishments.

Then after all that swimming we had to take a cookie break and a few pictures.

After swimming we headed to Mary and Johns to reheat the ribs on the grill and eat dinner before we headed to watch the fireworks downtown. Mary and John bought and redid my grandmothers house and it was so nice that night that we sat outside and ate dinner. Will thought it was fun to water "wah wah" Mary's back porch and sweep it off too.

We had a great dinner. Doug prepared some awesome ribs and baked beans. Mary and John had deviled eggs and rosemary bread and dessert. It was all so delicious.

After dinner Will got fussy so we had to take a quick power nap before we left at 9 to go watch the fireworks. After his quick nap we loaded up and got our seats ready to watch the fireworks. Will loved the fireworks. He called them the "pow pow." He oohed and aahed as the fireworks were shot. Then after it was all over he passed out.

Overall it was a FUN Fourth of July!!!
