Double Decker and Baseball
We had a fun weekend in Oxford. This past weekend was Double Decker and a home baseball series against Auburn. We headed over Friday after work and enjoyed a nice evening. On Saturday we walked over to the square and attended Double Decker. There were so many booths full of beautiful art that we didn't have a lot of time to explore all of them. I did come across a booth with wooden trains and cars that I thought Luke and Will would enjoy so I ended up buying them something fun. After Double Decker, we headed to Swayze Field to watch the Rebels play Auburn. The game was fun and the atmosphere was fun too and the weather was absolutely gorgeous! On Saturday night we grilled out at the condo and then stayed over and attended the Sunday afternoon baseball game which was really exciting but the Rebels rallied to win 6-5 after being down 5-0 in the first 7 innings. We had a perfect weekend in Oxford!

Happy 11 months Luke
Luke turned 11 months old on April 6th and that only means that we are in the party planning mode for our 1st birthday. Life is definitely getting interesting! Luke is beginning to develop a can-do and all about his brother personality. He loves everything about his brother and wants to be right in the middle of the action and never left out.
Luke wears a 12-18 months clothes. He weighs probably around 21-22 lbs and is getting thicker and heavier by the minute. He is in a size 4 diaper. He has tried mashed potatoes, peas, Mac n cheese, chicken (grilled and fried), crackers, pancakes, gerber puffs and yogurt melts, vanilla wafers, goldfish, nutra grain bars, peaches, strawberries, apple sauce, and fries. After he gets over the initial shock of how it tastes with flavor then he's fine. He eats little nibbles here and there. He still has baby food and yogurt to substitute what he needs. He loves water, Gatorade, and his formula milk. He has a total of 6 teeth which are 4 on top and 2 on the bottom; but 2 of the top teeth have not fully come in but they have broken through the skin.
As far as his activity, he is still not crawling. He hates to get up on his knees but will lay on his stomach and spin around to get where he is going. He is standing and using his walker to get around. We figure he will crawl eventually but go straight to walking instead. I will stand him up and try to move his feet standing behind him and he does good with that. The only problem we have is that sometimes when we stand him up he just starts bouncing and won't quit so we have to grab him by his chunky thighs to make him stop.
He loves to just sit in the floor and play with his toys. He can spin himself around on his booty and grab toys way out of his reach. He loves to bang toys together and loves hearing the sounds and music they play. Everything about a toy intrigues him.
He's beginning to talk more and communicate. He can say momma, dadda, and bye bye. He can play paty cake, clap his hands, play peek a boo, and shake his head "no." He's still the resident elephant in his creeper class at dayschool and he loves to make random noises.
We love you sweet Luke and cannot wait to celebrate your FIRST birthday next month. You have blessed our lives in so many ways.
