Luke's 9 month check-up

Luke had his 9 month check up. He weighs 20 lbs and is 28 inches long. He's in the 50th percentile for weight and the 60th percentile for height. He's doing well and right on track.

He is not crawling or pulling up so he is a little behind. He just hasn't had a lot of tummy time but we will be doing more of that! He loves sitting up and playing with his toys. He rarely naps because he is so busy playing. He is down to 3 bottles a day and 8 ounces in each bottle. He's tried juice in a sippy cup but is not crazy about it! He's also eating gerber puffs, yogurt melts, and level 3 chunky foods and thick level 2 foods. He has 2 teeth on the bottom but has 2 more fixing to break through on the top. He loves his brother, Will, and they even take baths together and it is so sweet. He's also started saying "dadda" and it drives me crazy!

Love all those rolls on this sweet baby!

Will's TOTs performance in Oxford

Will participates in a program at his school called TOTs. It stands for Teams of Tomorrow. It is a program that meets once a week and teaches the kids to dribble, shoot the basketball, roll the basketball, and several other concepts. It also incorporates colors, shapes, and numbers. It's a cute program and Will absolutely loves it!

He had a performance in Oxford at the Ole Miss women's basketball game in the new Pavilion at Ole Miss. It was the first time we got to see the Pavilion and it is nice! We were both off on Monday due to President's day so we loaded up and got the boys early from school and headed to Oxford. We dropped some things off at the condo and then we went to the South Depot Taco Shop to eat dinner and then went to the game.

Will's TOT group performed at halftime of the game and he got a little stage fright. Will stood on his dot the whole time. He was either scared Rebel Bear was going to get him, nervous, or couldn't find us. We were trying to get his attention and do his performance, but nope he wasn't having it! Oh well, it was cute anyways!

Sweet helper came over to help him

He tried to get the helper to help him

He's finally sitting and participating only with the help of his new friend

Nope Rebel Bear he's not interested!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was last Sunday. We had a great day! We went to church and then Doug's parents came over and kept the boys while we went to Olive Garden and had a nice quiet lunch. After lunch we went to the grocery store and then came home and both boys were asleep. After they woke up we had gave the boys their Valentine presents. Will got 2 new trains, gum, and smarties. Luke got a new outfit and a new toy. I also got a new Yeti cooler cup and a handle. It is nice!

Happy 9 months

Luke turned 9 months old on February 6th. He is hilarious! He has his own little language going and tries so hard to communicate with you.

He finally has 2 teeth!! He cut them right around mid January. One tooth cut through and then a week later I felt another one coming through. His 2 teeth are so precious.

He's not crawling yet but swimming as we say. He's getting more and more tummy time to make that happen. He's tried juice, eats Gerber puffs, tried mashed potatoes, eats oatmeal, and loves baby food. We are trying a new routine with him on food. We are increasing his bottles to 3 - 8oz bottles with snack and food in between. Let's hope it works. We tried a sippy cup with juice today and he did great!

Luke loves to watch his brother play and laughs at him a lot. I can begin to see what these two will be like in the future! Luke can sit up really well by himself and play with his toys. He loves to bang things together and make noise.

He wears a 9-12 months clothes and still a size 2.5-3 infant shoe. He's in size 3 diapers too.

He goes to sleep around 7:30-8 at night and sleeps till 7:15-7:30 when we are walking out of the house to daycare. He rarely takes a nap at home or at daycare. He maybe sleeps 30-45 minutes in the morning and maybe 30-45 minutes in the afternoons. He's not much of a nap taker. I'm hoping that will change soon. One day at daycare he slept all of 10 minutes but literally crashed when we got home and it was an early bed time too.

Luke is so much fun and he brings so much joy and laughter to our lives!

January iPhone pics

January in Review

We started off 2016 with a great New Year's Day meal

We prayed the Rebels would win the Sugar Bowl (and they did)

Luke decided it was time to sit up and play

Then he decided to turn 8 months old

We went to Arkansas for a wedding and ate at Cracker Barrel

Luke took his first sink bath at Uncle Mike and Aunt Misty's house

Aunt Angie read books to both boys

Luke attended his first wedding of Clay and Chelsey Smith

Mom and dad drank champagne because we attended a wedding with both boys and SURVIVED

Luke got a new fish bath tub

Will used Luke's new bath tub as his fishing boat

We enjoyed Saturday morning cartoons in mommy and daddy's bed

Tucker decided to turn 1 on January 8th

Then Will decided to turn 4 on January 19th

So we celebrated Will on the coldest night of the year so far at Chick-Fil-A and Luke bundled up and cheesed for us

Both boys played together on the floor

Luke sitting up playing on the floor

Then Will went to the Fire Station to celebrate his friend, Carter's, birthday party

Later that day, we celebrate Will with a John Deere birthday party

Luke decided to sprout 2 teeth back to back

Both boys dressed so handsome for church

We ended January with a TOT performance at New Albany High School

Luke ended January with a slight cough and runny nose. Does he look sick?
