Will is growing so much and it is amazing to see the day to day changes. His hair is getting blonder but the nurses tell me he is getting a red tint to it and I'm freaking out but his daddy was born with red hair and it eventually turned to a blondish brown color. He is looking more and more like his daddy but that is okay I think I can live with that. He does have some tendencies like his momma though. He gets agitated if he is being messed with and just wants to be left alone. He raises his heartrate and gets mad when he wants his leg or a foot out when he is all bundled up. So Will is progressing overall and changing day by day.
We are so amazed and humbled by all the prayers that are being sent our way. We got a letter in the mail from a church in Houston, MS with a stack of cards from people we don't even know that had said they prayed for us. It came on Saturday and it was just what we needed. God's timing is perfect and he definately knows our heart and when we need the encouragement the most.
As we enter into tomorrow and Will turns 5 weeks old, we are so amazed at everything God is revealing to us on a daily basis. We cannot ask for a better blessing of such a precious and more perfect life that our one and only God created and hand molded specifically for us. Wow, what a journey and a privledge it has been to witness his incredible creation designed for us. We were always anxious about going to the ultrasounds and hated waiting 4 weeks to see the boys, but God knew exactly what we needed. He wanted us to see our son's development and his creation every single day and wanted us to know that HE is in control and that we should never doubt that. Wow, don't we just serve an awesome God?
I'm going to end this post with a Fulfilled Promise that comes out a book that my coworker gave us that we read to Will every night. The book is called Promises to Pray over your children by Roy Lessin. This book is incredible and whenever we read it to Will, we are uplifted by the promises from God for our children.
Fulfilled Promises
"For the promise of the Holy Spirit is to and for you and your children and for all that are far away, even to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself." Acts 2:39
Thank you, God, that Your promises are not just for generations past, but are for my generation and for my children's generation. Thank you that what You promised the early church, You have also promised us. Assure my children's hearts that You are not only the promise keeper of the past, but also the promise keeper of today and the promise keeper of their futures.
You give them promises to trust in, and You fulfill them in Your time. You are a promise maker and a promise keeper. Thank You that Your timing is always perfect, that You are never too late, that You never make a promise that is empty, and that You never forget a promise that You have made.
God, Your promises to my children are the divine assurances of Your will. Thank you. Fulfill in them the promise of the fullness of Your Spirit, the promise of Your call upon their lives, and the promise of Your presence with them always.
Kara! He looks so good! You see him every day so you probably can't tell, but go back a couple of weeks and you will see that he is getting some meat on his little bones. One day you will wonder, where did my baby boy go??? They grow so fast! Thank you for keeping us posted.
