Happy 9 year Anniversary

Happy 9 year Anniversary to the most amazing man I know! You are my best friend, soul mate, my go to person for having a bad day and all my problems, and the best daddy to our son Will! I could not imagine my life without you! God gave me you for a reason and I couldn't thank him enough for you! You have been with me through thick and thin and our relationship has grown so much. God definitely knew what he was doing when he placed you in my life!

Thank you for being such a great daddy to Will and the best husband I could ask for.

Happy 18 months Will

Will is 18 months old today. He weighs slightly over 19 lbs but we will get actual weight and height when we visit the pediatrician for his check up next week. Will LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and momma and dadda just about got the words memorized. He is such a happy little boy.

His new words are puppy, me, bye, and boo. He loves to jibber jabber and has a mind of his own. He absolutely loves to play with other kids and never wants to take a nap because he plays and plays. He goes about 90 to nothing when he does play and he's into everything.

He loves to open and shut doors, play in the dishwasher and the refrigerator. He has taken 2 steps by himself and we are working on several more. We walk each night for our beach ball or animal crackers. It's a work in progress. He will get it eventually and when he does we are in TROUBLE!!

Will is a special little boy and God has truly blessed us with a special gift. He amazes us every day and he never meets a stranger. We always get to tell his story whenever we meet someone new and they are always amazed at what a miracle he is. He is definitely OUR miracle from God!!!!

Happy 18 months old sweet boy!!!!!

More Destin pictures

Tuesday night we all had our "white shirt" picture made. I've always seen this done in Destin but never would convince Doug that we need to do this. He hates it! Now that we have Will I have a good excuse! HAHA!! So we hired a professional photographer to take a HUGE group picture and individual pictures of each family. Of course I took my camera down to the beach to occupy my time and take some more pictures. Why not? They are not the professional ones but when those arrive I'll post those too but here is my pictures instead!

Destin 2013 recap and loads of pictures

We had a great time in Destin, FL this year with the entire Robert's clan (Doug's mother's family), 20-25 adults and kids in a 6 bedroom 3-story house in Destin. Loads of fun, lots of love and togetherness were experienced on this trip. Here is a recap of our trip in pictures of what came off my big camera instead of my iphone. Enjoy!

Ross and Kalyn celebrated their birthdays at the beach. Ross turned 6 on July 5th and Kalyn turned 4 on July 3rd. How cool was it to celebrate your birthday at the beach? Their momma and daddy got them a cake and we celebrated at The Back Porch.

Beach Day 4

It's raining on beach day 4 so we all had to figure out a new plan. Doug stayed at the condo with Will while I went with a few of the family members to get massages. Rain rain go away! This is our last day so we tried our best to make the most out of the day. Will slept a lot today and rested from all the beach time he had gotten.

We did end our trip with a great meal at the Louisiana Lagniappe. Yummy!

How to entertain your child who is hungry and impatient at a restaurant...take self portraits with your phone so he can see himself. Works like a charm!

Overall we had a great time at the beach and we cannot wait to come back next year. We still have one last favorite place to eat in the morning before we leave....The Donut Hole!!!!!

Beach Day 3

Today on the beach was the same as yesterday. Will woke up bright and early and was ready to go by 9:30am. We played in the pool again and took another nap.

Stole mommy's chair by the ocean.

Then screamed because he was ready to go back to the condo to eat lunch and take another nap. A two hour nap might I say.

So far I've realized my son is not fond of the sand, ocean water, nor the sound of the waves. Also he will only last about 2 hours and he is done for the day but will stay hours in the pool. I don't get it! Hopefully he will grow out of it by the time we come back next year and the next.

Then we ended the day with a good dinner at The Back Porch where Will ate amberjack fish and French fries.

So tomorrow is our last day of our beach vacation then we head home. Boo!!!! So hopefully we will have nice weather ad make the best out of the last day at the beach.
