Luke's Birthday Party

On Friday night we had Luke's birthday party with family at our house. Both of the kids were out of school and we took off and got ready for the party. Luke's birthday was May 6th (mother's day weekend) and this weekend was the only weekend we had available to do his party. We had so much fun and really enjoyed the party. Earlier in the week the weather forecast projected 100% chance of rain but we only got about 10% chance and were able to eat outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Luke loves the song "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" so why not have a farm animal party. It was combination of "Old MacDonald", farm animal/barnyard party. I searched Pinterest and found the invitations, cake ideas, and party food ideas and decorations as well. I had so much fun planning this party. I also found Luke's outfit on a Facebook resale page a girl had bought that was too big for her son and I absolutely loved the outfit and it fit Luke perfectly!

Will's End of the School Year Celebration

This past Thursday we had Will's End of the School Year music performance at the church he attends. The program was so cute and Will did a semi-better job this year. He didn't sing much but he stayed with his class for a little bit longer than last year. He was a little nervous and you could tell but all in all it was a cute performance. After the performance there was a reception with cookies and lemonade for the parents and kids. Will had so much fun learning in Mrs. Emerald and Mrs Vita's class. Will is going to a new school in the fall and we are excited about this new opportunity of learning and fun!

TOTs and weekend in Oxford

The second weekend in May was Will's TOT performance at his school. Will participated in TOTs at his dayschool and learned alot. TOT stands for Teams of Tomorrow and was developed to teach kids fun ways of learning shapes, numbers and colors all by working with a basketball. He had his Shine Time performance and got to show us all the skills he had learned this year. It was his first year doing this and he looked forward to going to TOTs every Wednesday at school.

We started off the morning at our favorite breakfast spot, Connie's, then headed over to see Will's TOT performance. Luke ate his first Connie's chicken biscuit and had a taste of a blueberry donut. After Will's TOT performance we headed to Oxford and watched the Rebels take on Kentucky. It was cool so we had to bundle up. After the game we stopped and ate at the Sizzler and then headed home.
