Easter 2010

We had a busy Easter weekend 2010. Doug and I both were off work for Good Friday so we enjoyed the day cleaning the house and catching up on household chores since we knew we were going to be busy all weekend. Nic, Kim, Ross, and Kalyn came in Friday afternoon so we cooked here at the house and visited with them. On Saturday, Ross went to an Easter egg hunt at Ballard Park and found a bunch of eggs. Here is Ross and Papaw after the Easter Egg Hunt. Look at all those eggs! He was so proud!

Kalyn chilled in the stroller while watching brother hunt eggs.

After the Easter egg hunt we went back to Doug's parents house and had Easter lunch. It was delicious and then we dove into the Easter Egg cake that I made. We cut Ross a piece of cake and he asked where the candles were, so of course we had to sing "Happy Birthday" to everyone. It was so funny!

Ross was so tired after all the festivities of the day that he just fell asleep on PawPaw as soon as he sat on the couch.

On Sunday we went to our early church service, then to Sunday School and then to my parent's church at 11am. From there we ate a good meal at the Tupelo Country Club with my family and then went home to take pictures and rest before we had to be at my Mamaw's 91st birthday party. It was a busy and fun day! Here are a few pictures from Easter Sunday with my family.

Anna Grace was more interested in things on the ground
than taking pictures. Mommy was not happy!

Finally she looked for a decent McMath family picture

Last but not least a picture with my precious nieces. Love them!!!!

The making of my first Easter Egg cake

I wanted to make my first Easter Egg cake this weekend so Doug and I set out on this adventure. It was so much fun! We got a little carried away with the icing and design. But oh well, here are a few pictures.

The finished product. I know it looks "unprofessional" but it sure tasted good!

Anna Grace McMath

Just to leave you with a wonderful picture of my beautiful niece, Anna Grace McMath. She is 5 months old and will be a BIG SISTER in September. Yes, you heard me right! Alecia and Michael are due again with another bundle of joy on September 5th. We are so excited to say the least!!

Isn't she just the CUTEST thing you have ever seen!! Love her!!!!!

I'm Back to Blogging

Sorry for the long lack of blogging, but our computer finally died and I couldn't retrieve any of my files or pictures. I have been out of commission and now I'm back with a brand new computer.

We have been trying to stay busy and anxiously awaiting spring and warmer weather. We recently put up and installed a backsplash in our kitchen and it looks fabulous! Doug and his mother installed it for me and his dad and I sat back and supervised. Here are a few pictures:

This is what Doug's dad did, supervised the dogs

Here is his real supervision work

AND FINALLY
THE FINISHED PROJECT

I am so proud of my husband and his mother for tackling this task all by themselves.

Other tasks and projects were new bedroom curtains for our master bedroom. Of course, I don't sew so I called on my mom to do them. She has sewn and made all the curtains in our house so why not our bedroom curtains. So here is our finished master bedrooms curtains.

We are finished with home projects until springtime and the weather warms up and that means flower bed clean-up and new flower beds. JOY!! JOY!!

My work just finished up with 2010 MS Governor's Conference on Tourism hosted by none other than the Tupelo CVB. We had a great time visiting and hosting such a great group of tourism friends. So I will leave you with my co-workers at the opening party of the Governor's Conference.

Cotton Bowl 2010

Doug and I went to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX. We had so much fun because the REBELS won!! We flew out of Birmingham and had a full day before Nic, Kim, and Ross joined us. We shopped and ate lots of good food. But most of all, we had a great time!!! Ross was so great during the game and he had a great time. I have a friend who works for the Cotton Bowl and she had 2 tickets on the front row of the 40 yard line behind the OSU bench. Our tickets were 7 rows from the top of the stadium so I let Nic, Kim, and Ross use them and then we would switch at halftime. Well Nic came and got us at halftime and told us there were 3 empty seats next to them and that we needed to come down there. So we watched the 3rd and 4th quarter from the front row of the 40 yard line. Too bad we were behind the OSU bench and not the Ole Miss bench but we had a great time anyways.

We also rang in the New Year at Benihana's in Dallas and Ross was a little hesitant about the cook at our table but he enjoyed himself though.

Enjoy the pictures from the Cotton Bowl aka "Jerry's World."

Christmas in Arkansas

Happy New Year!! I know I'm still posting Christmas pictures but this is the last of them I promise! The day after Christmas we left that night and headed to Arkansas to for a quick visit with Doug's grandparents. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing everyone after Christmas. We usually make it the weekend before but since our schedules don't work out anymore then we go in the weekend after Christmas. We both took off the week after Christmas, so 3 vacation days turned into 11 days off from work! WooHoo!! We then took off to head to Dallas, TX for the Cotton Bowl. I will post more on that later!

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Arkansas!
