Disney - Magic Kingdom

On Tuesday, September 6th we finally were able to go to Magic Kingdom and have fun at the Disney parks. We were so excited and after a late, late night from the ballgame I think we were running on about 5 hours of sleep. We got in late from the game around 1:30am and then had to be at Chef Mickey's for breakfast at 8:50am. Everyone told us to allow 1 hour to get from our hotel to the Magic Kingdom, through security and bag check. Well we made it there in 30 minutes tops and were early to our breakfast. We had breakfast at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort and got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald. Will was ecstatic and so excited to finally see Mickey and Goofy who we have been telling him we would meet. It finally came true, and mom was excited too to see the characters.

After breakfast we headed over to ride our rides that we had FastPasses on. We rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Will absolutely LOVED it! We rode Peter Pan's Flight, Mickey's PhilarMagic, the Madhatter Teacups, the carousel, the train, Dumbo the Flying Elephants, and a bunch of other rides.

After we rode the rides, we sat on Main Street and watched the Festival of Fantasy Parade. It was good to have a break and watch a great parade. We ate dinner at Tony's restaurant (Italian) and then headed back to the hotel for an early early bedtime. We were exhausted!

Labor Day/Ole Miss vs FSU

On Monday, September 5th, the Ole Miss Rebels played FSU (Florida State) at night at the Camping World Stadium at 8pm. We had a day to burn and decided to hang out at the swimming pool at the resort and rest before the big game. Coronado Springs has a big water slide and we had so much fun going down the slide and resting and relaxing.

Later that evening we got ready to head to the Camping World Stadium to watch the Rebels play FSU. Yes, this trip was centered around the Ole Miss game. We had a personal chauffeur take us to the game and we also picked up our friends, Salley and Keith, who were staying at the Art of Animation resort. We got to visit on the 30 minute drive over and had a good time catching up. The Rebels pulled out a big lead but unfortunately couldn't hang on and we ended up loosing to FSU. The final score was 45-34 and we were sad and upset but we had a great time! Our seats were by the Ole Miss band and Will absolutely fell in love and had the best time cheering and dancing.

Disney Travel Day and Disney Springs

Sunday, September 4th we left bright and early and headed to Birmingham, AL to catch our flight to Orlando. Our flight left at 10am so we left Tupelo at 5:30am and drove over. We were hoping Will would sleep but as soon as he woke up, the first words were "Is it Disney day yet?" Least to say, he was excited. We made it to Birmingham and Will was so in awe of all the planes and going through security. He was also excited to be flying on his first airplane. We got to the gate and greeted so many Ole Miss fans that were headed to the game and Disney World. It was fun plane ride and Will had the best time.

After we checked into our Disney Resort we ate lunch, found our room, and then had dinner reservations at Disney Springs. Unfortunately I have no pictures from there because it poured the whole time we were there and got soaking wet and our ponchos were in our suitcases which had not arrived yet. We did go to the Disney store and get Will a toy for being a good trooper in the rain and plus we had to buy ponchos. We ate at Paradiso 37 and we were starving and it was delicious food!

We fly Southwest and Will was so excited!

August recap

August came and went so fast. The boys started in 2 different new schools. Will is in the 4 year old class at Harrisburg Baptist Church and Luke is in the Toddler room at First Baptist Church. They were so excited to start school, well Will was. He calls it his new "church school" because we do attend church at where he goes to school. Currently both boys are enjoying their new school. Luke got his first haircut and we got rid of the curls and now he looks like a big boy! Luke also had a 15 month check up and everything went well. We also celebrated Papaw's birthday with everyone in Oxford at the Rib Cage. And to end the month, Will came down with the chicken pox and Doug had the shingles. Fun fun!
