Magic Kingdom Day 2

Our last day at Disney was another day at Magic Kingdom before we boarded the Disney Cruise ship the next day. We started off with breakfast at a new restaurant called Cape May Cafe with Minnie's Beach Bash at Disney's Beach Club Resort. It was another good character experience. We got to meet Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. We got to this one 15 mins early because we took a taxi since it was a little difficult to get to by Disney transportation. After Cape May Cafe, we boarded the Disney bus and headed back to Magic Kingdom for another fun filled day of all things Disney.

We fast passed the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Splash Mountain, and the Winnie the Pooh ride since the wait times were long the day before. Will again got to ride the rides twice due to the "rider switch" and he again had a great time. We did more rides for Luke like Winnie the Pooh, It's a Small World, Little Mermaid, Buzz Lightyear ride, rode the train around the parks, and met more characters.

We had dinner reservations at Crystal Palace and got to eat with Winnie the Pooh and friends and the boys loved seeing those characters. After dinner we went back to the hotel to find Lightning McQueen and see his hotel and then packed up and got ready for the Disney Cruise the next day.

Overall it was fun time spent at Magic Kingdom. I'm glad we were able to go as a family for just 2 days. It was HOT and the boys did wonderful. I will be going again, just in the spring or fall....LOL!

Magic Kingdom Day 1

We started the day off EARLY with breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 7:45am. I say EARLY because we were an hour ahead so in Mississippi time it was actually 6:45am. But it's our favorite breakfast spot and we love this character experience. We met Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto aka "hot dog" according to Luke. Little did we know that Magic Kingdom had "magic hours" which meant the park opened 1 hour before regular time and we had to take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then take the monorail to the Contemporary Resort. Yes, we were late by 15 minutes to breakfast and the bus was CROWDED and the security line was AWFUL! Luckily we were okay and they saved our table at Chef Mickey's.

After Chef Mickey's we headed to Magic Kingdom and it was a HOT day. We packed a cooler with drinks and had snacks and took plenty of stops along the way in the shade to cool down. The boys were troopers and were just so excited to see Mickey and all his friends. The first day we fast passed Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and we did the rider switch so Will got to ride the rides twice because Luke wasn't tall enough to ride. He had fun watching everyone ride them anyways. We also did Aladdin's ride and some other rides for his size. We ate lunch at Be Our Guest, which is the Beauty and the Beast Castle. After lunch we rode a few more rides and called it a day after the Festival of Fantasy parade which began at 3pm. We headed back to the resort and let the boys swim and called it an early night. Luckily our plans for the next day were not as packed or early.

Arriving at DISNEY

We woke up the next morning and had a goal of being at our hotel by 3pm. Well with traffic and stops, we made it by 4pm which wasn't so bad. The boys were excited and we finally made it to our hotel, Disney's Art of Animation. I LOVE this resort. We stayed in the CARS suite and the boys loved it and had fun seeing all the Cars from the movie. Later that evening we went to Disney Springs and had reservations at the Rainforest Cafe. Will wasn't so sure about the restaurant at first but he warmed up to it! After dinner, we walked around Disney Springs, went to the Disney Store, and then headed back to get ready for a busy and early day at Magic Kingdom. I rented a double stroller and it was a true lifesaver!

Travel Day to DISNEY

For vacation we did a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas with my entire family. Doug and I decided to take the boys to Magic Kingdom for 2 days before we boarded the ship to the Bahamas. We drove the whole way down with a stopover in Macon, GA. We started the trip out with a bang when Will wasn't feeling good so we went to the doctor before we left and we were rushed to the ER with what he believed that Will had an appendicitis. That trip delayed us from leaving for 2.5 hours but unfortunately it was NOT ruled an appendicitis but bad constipation. Luke slept in the car for the majority of the time that Doug and Will were in the ER. The ER rushed us through and we were sent on our way with instructions. We made it to Oxford, AL and ate at Cracker Barrel and then headed to Macon, GA to our hotel for the night. It was a LONG trip but the boys did great!
