Community Helper Parade

HBC day school celebrated Community Helper week by ending with a fun Community Helper parade. Will was so excited about the parade and excited to be a firefighter. He marched in the parade like a star. I was able to sneak away from work to watch the parade with Luke and his class. Luke had so much fun watching Will and seeing all the police cars and firetrucks there. It was a fun day.

Happy Birthday Doug

Doug's birthday was September 19th and we celebrated with pizza from Lost Pizza and yummy cupcakes from Rosie's. We had his parents over for dinner and had a fun time with presents and food. Later in the week, we met my parents at Mt Fuji for another birthday dinner. The boys loved celebrating their daddy on his special day. We are thankful for Doug and everything he does for our family!

Ole Miss Football has begun

Ole Miss football has begun and we enjoyed a few games in Oxford in September. It has been hot and we've had a nice month long break but are ready for October and more football games.

Back to School 2017-2018

School year 2017-2018 started on August 1 and Will and Luke are FINALLY at the same school this year. We moved Luke over to HBC and held Will back at HBC in the PreK program to give him another year of learning and maturing. It was a tough decision but so far we have heard good feedback on this.

Will has Mrs Katie and Mrs Judy and is in the Pound Puppies Room at HBC. Luke has Ms. Neica and is in the Jellyfish room.

It was a rough start to the week for Luke as he was not familiar with the teachers and his new friends. He misses his "Ray Ray" and "Chelle Chelle" from FBC but we know he is in good hands with Ms. Neica.

Will was so excited to finally be in the Pound Puppy room and we only pray for great things from him this year because next year we move onto Kindergarten at TCPS and we are excited!

July 2017 recap

We began July with a trip home from our Disney Cruise with 2 exhausted little boys. We relaxed on July 4th with no plans of doing nothing but resting which is exactly what we did. The rest of July was spent at the pool having a good time with cousins and friends before school started back. We also made a fun and quick day trip to Arkansas to watch Papaw's band, The Penny Brothers, reunite for a class reunion. Will was so excited to wear his "red" shirt and be on stage with Papaw jamming away to the music while playing his guitar. He felt like a celebrity and had the best time. Luke danced till he couldn't dance anymore. Doug and I also were able to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary with a fun weekend getaway to Ross Bridge Resort and Spa in Birmingham, AL. We did nothing but sleep, shop, and eat. It was a perfect and relaxing weekend.
