House Renovation

In February we started our house renovation and enlisted the help of my talented sister, Mary, of Staggs Interiors and along with the help of our friend and contractor, Tony Miles Homebuilders, as well as a cabinet crew, McCarley Cabinets. Together this group did a wonderful job on our kitchen renovation/home renovation/everything else renovation. One thing leads to another as they say when you do a kitchen renovation. We stayed with my parents while the house got completely turned upside down. The wall separating the kitchen came down, we repainted the entire house and the bathroom vanities, we replaced flooring in 90% of the house, and the boys got updated and redecorated rooms and bathrooms. It was time for a new color palate of neutrals and light colors because our house was gloomy and full of dark colors. We are so glad we did this renovation. We finally moved back in the house after 7 weeks of renovations and are thrilled to be back in the house and absolutely loving our new space.

Gator Riding and Baseball

Gator riding and baseball has been the highlight of our spring so far. Luke has thoroughly enjoyed taking the wheel of the gator and "going really fast." Will has started 6 year old baseball through our Park and Rec office and has a game most every Tuesday and Thursday nights. This 6 year old baseball is serious stuff but its fun to watch him enjoy the things he loves.

Easter 2018

It's been a while since I blogged so her goes some catch up.....

Easter 2018 was celebrated on Sunday April 1 this year. I took off on Good Friday and we went to Oxford for a nice weekend. We went shopping at the outlet mall in Southaven and then came back to watch the Ole Miss baseball series against Arkansas. It was an exciting game. After the game was over on Saturday the kids got to run the bases and do an Easter Egg hunt on Swayze Field. The boys had fun running the bases rather than the egg hunt. We loaded up and headed back home to get ready for Easter Sunday services the next day.

Since we were still living with mom and dad while our house was being renovated, the Easter bunny made a special stop at their house to deliver the boys their goodies. The boys got pjs, candy, beach towels, and a few more items. We enjoyed a wonderful Easter service at HBC and then met up with my family at the Tupelo Country Club to enjoy a nice lunch and more visits with the Easter bunny.
