Disney Cruise -Sailing Away

After a fun 2 days at Magic Kingdom, we woke up early and ready to drive to Port Canaveral to meet the rest of my family. We made a stop in Cocoa, FL and met them at their hotel and then drove to the port so we could all park together and board the ship together. Mom got this great idea to have the family wear matching shirts as we board the cruise ship so we all matched and it was really cute. We boarded the cruise ship, ate lunch, and walked around. Around 2pm our stateroom was ready so headed there to rest and decide what to do next because we had a "Sailing Away" party with Mickey and Minnie and the gang as we "sailed away."

After we had the "Sailing Away" party on the Deck, we headed off to meet characters before we had dinner. We met Goofy, Minnie, Mickey, and Pluto. We were trying to meet as many characters as possible. We got "mickey" and "minnie" pillow cases made for the kids to get signed by their favorite characters as a souvenir from the trip. Shout out to my sweet friend, Leah Sheffield, on her hard work on the tshirts and pillowcases. She was a trooper at my mom's requests! Thank you LEAH!

The kids were excited to meet the characters. Will and Luke absolutely loved all of them. They ran up to them like they practically knew them. Also Peyton and Anna Grace were thrilled to see them too. Anna Grace loved seeing Minnie by herself. Tucker just loved being on "Mickey's Boat."

After we met Minnie and Goofy, we headed off to dinner at Royal Palace. It was a "cinderella" themed eating place. What was cool was at dinner we were on a rotation between 3 dining places. We never ate at the same place twice in a row. It was fun getting to eat different meals at different places each night. We loved our waiters who were Carlos and Erros we had the best time with their "magic tricks" for the kids and lovely dinner time entertainment. The first night for the kids was a Mickey ice cream bar and the kids loved and devoured eating those. Below are a few pictures to prove it was a huge hit. After dinner, Luke had it all over his shirt and shorts and literally everywhere. He was known as "chocolate boy" for the rest of the trip because he had chocolate literally from his head to his toes.

After dinner we headed off to meet more characters and found Mickey and Pluto. We also checked out the Oceaneer Kids Club and sent Will, Peyton, and Anna Grace off to have for about an hour and that let us have time to unpack and get settled in for the night. The next day we were to arrive at Disney's Private Island, Castaway Cay in the Bahamas.
