Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving day! We started the day off by watching the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and then we went to my mom's house and had a great lunch! This year we are thankful for Will and all the progress he has made this year. We have gone through a lot of ups and downs this year but God has been with us all year and we are thankful for his continued guidance in our lives. So here's to a happy and blessed Thanksgiving from our house to yours!

Happy Birthday Nana Karen

Yesterday was my mom's (Nana Karen) birthday and anniversary. Her and my dad have celebrated many many years together. We are thankful for Nana Karen and all that she does for us. She has such a big heart! She loves Will and all her other grandchildren to death. She keeps Will and they make frequent visits to WalMart together. WalMart is my mother's home away from home. Last night we got together and celebrated her with a birthday dinner at Mary's house. Mary and John just redid and refinished my grandmother and grandfather's house. So it was awesome to sit in their house and enjoy a great meal!

Happy Birthday Mom and Nana Karen! We hope you have many more birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate!

Anna Grace decided to help too

An attempt to take a Nana and all the grandkids picture. Failed attempt but at least Will and Nana are smiling!

Playing outside

Yesterday was a beautiful day so we got outside to enjoy a little bit of the nice weather. Will loved playing in the leaves and chasing Maddie around.

Riding our truck outside

Posing for the camera

Figuring out the leaves and what that crunching noise is

Oh look, a stick!

Thanksgiving with the Penny's

Last weekend we had an early Thanksgiving dinner with Doug's side of the family. We ate on Sunday at Nic and Kim's house and had a delicious meal planned by a wonderful cook, Kim. Thank you Kim and Nic for the food and fun and the absolutely delicious meal. This is the first time in a while all the kids have been together and they played exceptionally well. We look forward to many Thanksgivings with the Pennys.

Will found a new favorite toy so I guess Santa needs to add a tri-cycle to his ever growing list

Happy 22 months Will

Will is 22 months old today. That means in January I will have a TWO year old. Oh my goodness time flies. I would not trade it for the world anyways. Will is so funny now. He just started speech therapy two days a week so hopefully we can get some more words into his little mouth.

We are working on knowing our body parts but he sure can tell you where his belly is.

He loves to take a bath. Every night we ask Will if he's ready for a bath and he runs to the bath tub yelling "ba" for bath. So we go get his towel and washcloth and we go take a bath.

He loves to drink the bath water. Gross!

He plays with his trucks in the bath tub

He loves to give kisses to anyone and anything. After he makes you mad or does something wrong, he gives you a kiss.

This child loves a remote, cellphones, and iPads.

We also think he may have a future career as a painter. Hint the booty crack.

Will is a climber on and off any piece of furniture he can get on. He knows how to turn the lights on and off constantly. He calls our dog, Maddie, "Mae Mae." So sweet because every morning Maddie greets him in his room and he goes "Mae Mae." He knows what a banana is and he loves to eat them. He loves Mickey Mouse clubhouse and will hand you the iPad to watch "mick." When he's ready for bed he will go "nigh nigh." We are working on knowing the sounds that different things make like trucks and cars. He's a little behind on a few things but his mind is catching on like crazy. He's absorbing anything and everything. He's been tailgating in the Circle with us this fall for the Ole Miss games but has not made it to all the home games.

Overall we are excited about what's to come for our Will and what God has planned for his life. Happy 22 months old Will.

Will's first carousel ride

A couple of weekends ago we were supposed to be celebrating Avre's (our niece) first birthday in Memphis. We went up early to shop at Target, grab lunch, and then head to the party at 2. So in Target we got the call that the stomach bug had hit their house and the party was cancelled so we improvised. Doug's aunt, uncle and grandmother were on their way in from Arkansas and his parents were just about to Memphis. We decided to meet at the mall and then go eat somewhere. So at the mall we let Will run off some steam and we rode the escalator up and down about 5 times and then we decided to ride the carousel. Will absolutely loved it. Doug's cousin Kyla was there to ride with us and we had a great time.

After the carousel ride we ate at J Alexander's and then left and went home. We had a great time even though the party was cancelled.

Guess the carousel ride and lunch wore these two out.

Happy Halloween

Will enjoyed Halloween this year and we could actually get out and have a good time. It rained on Halloween so trick or treating outdoors was not possible. We went to daddy's work to trick or treat and then visited the grandparents and cousins and went home! Batman sure had a great time!

Batman decided to take his lawn mower instead of his batmobile

Not sure about this trick or treating thing yet

Hmmm candy, maybe?

Maybe I'll try some

Ok, I'll take it from daddy now

Mmmmm more candy

Trick or treating makes me tired

We found a balloon and Batman was happy

I think I'll take the whole bowl of candy

Even mommy and daddy got a picture with Batman

We ended the night with a delicious meal at Nana Lou's and Papaw Penny's house. Batman was tired so he gave us a cheesy pumpkin face!
