Day Out with Thomas the Train

Labor day weekend after the ballgame in Oxford, we headed to Nashville to participate in Day Out with Thomas on Sunday. It was held at the Tennessee Central Railway Museum near downtown Nashville. We did an early morning train ride and glad we did because it started to get hot as we were finishing. Will loved it and had a good time.

Labor Day weekend in Oxford

Well I'm home with pink eye in both eyes so what not better to do than blog and catch up on life. Life is busy with 2 boys, work, and all things that go with raising a family.

Labor Day weekend we headed to Oxford to watch the Rebels kick off the 2015 football season. It was a hot and early game at 11am on Saturday. We tailgated early and then headed to the game. It was extremely hot and I ended up not staying long because it was so hot. Luke went back to the condo with my mom, Mary and Tucker. Will sat with Nannie and Papaw in their section. Doug and my dad braved the game through half time. Luckily the Rebels 76-3 against UT Martin. Later that afternoon we headed to Nashville, TN to spend a Day Out with Thomas the Train on Sunday.

Luke fell asleep so we snapped a picture

Luke's First Trip to Arkansas

We took Luke to Arkansas a few weekends ago to meet the great grandparents for the first time. Doug's grandmothers live in Arkansas and they had not seen Luke since he was born. We took a weekend trip there just so they could love on our 2nd addition to the family. We enjoyed visiting with the family and letting them love on our 2 boys.

Happy 3 Months Luke

Luke is 3 months. Really?!? He's growing and changing every day. At daycare, the ladies love him and says he only cries when he's hungry. He's such a good baby and we are absolutely in love with Luke.

Luke is either loosing his hair or it is getting lighter. He absolutely loves his older brother, Will. When Will is not at home it's like Luke has lost his best friend. We will see how long this lasts!!

Luke wears a size 2 diaper. He can wear 6 month clothes mostly because they fit him better in the legs. He has found his tongue. He loves to ooh and aah at you and smile too. He is taking a 7 ounce bottle now and still sleeping through the night. He hates being cold after bath time. He is also trying to roll over.

We are so happy to have Luke in our lives and he is such a great addition to our family. God knew what he was doing by adding this sweet precious boy to our family.

Happy 11 years

Doug and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary together on July 31st. He is my rock and best friend and pretty much knows me more than I know myself. He can always tell me what I'm thinking or going to say. He can tell if something's bothering me or if someone has made me upset. He makes me a better person and mom to our boys. I'm so glad God put him in my life because I couldn't be any happier than I am right now.

We celebrated in Oxford Friday night at Oxford Grillhouse and then ice cream at Ya Ya's. We spent the night at my parents condo and slept in till 9am. We had a late breakfast/brunch at Big Bad Breakfast in Oxford. I went to go get a pedicure and shop around a bit. It was a wonderful time in Oxford, which is our favorite place to go besides the beach.

We are so thankful for grandparents who gave us the night off to keep our kids so we could get away. We were just told to be back by 3pm and we were.

Thankful for 11 years down and many many more to go. Life is good!!
