My parents bought a condo in Oxford back in January so we were able to enjoy it for the long weekend. Ole Miss played Southeast Missouri State (SEMO) on September 7th and the game was at 6pm that night. We arrived in Oxford on Friday night after work and met my mom, dad, my sister Mary and John at the condo. We unloaded and since it was our first football weekend experience in the condo getting settled, we ate dinner at Oby's in Oxford. It was so good and such a great place to eat. We then went back to get ready for the game on Saturday. I, on the other hand, ended up at WalMart at 10:30pm preparing for the game and getting some extra things we needed.
Will coughed all night long and therefore Doug and I didn't sleep very much. I think we may have gotten about 4 hours of sleep. I didn't care because I was just so excited to have Will in Oxford this year with us and not at home with a sitter.
Saturday approached and it was game day and we were all excited about Ole Miss's first home football game. Dad and Doug went to go set up the tables and chairs and drop our food off and I hit the square and a few children's shops because Will has nothing for the later fall football games. I picked up Dad and Doug and we went to Rebel Rags and shopped again. I got Will a new jersey. It is PRECIOUS!
We tailgate in the circle and it was so awesome to be dropped off there by my parents and have everything already set up and ready for us to tailgate. Will was so mesmerized with all the people that he didn't know what to do. Since he is walking, my biggest fear was to loose him in a large crowd of people so we definitely kept a good eye on him. We had both sets of grandparents watching him and his parents too of course.
We ate and then went to walk through and saw all the football players get off the bus and walk to the game down the "Walk of Champions." Will loved seeing that and clapping to the songs the band played.
We got to the game in time to see the players and the band on the field. Will was clapping and smiling so big like he knew where he was. It was awesome! He did good throughout the game even though it was HOT. We sit with my parents and my sister, Mary and her husband John so between the 6 of us Will had plenty of hands on people to entertain and be passed down the row. He is a busy body these days so we did our best to entertain him. He got hungry so we got him a hot dog (his all time favorite thing to eat) and then my mom and I left with him at half time and walked back to the condo. Doug and Dad got home later that night with all of our stuff and Will and I were gone to bed because we were TIRED!
Overall it was a great day and I'm so excited Will got to experience his first Ole Miss football game and tailgate because he better be prepared for lots more to come because we don't miss a football game!

Our sweet friend and NICU social worker, Christy Whitley, and her daughter Caitlynn came by to visit. We were so excited to see them and share this day with them.
